He’s not someone that was in telationship but we used to talk.
I saw recently a guy who I dated 3 years ago. It ended in very bad terms. We didn’t date long. I’ve lost my feelings but in the past I liked him a lot.
Yesterday I saw him at the grocery store. He walked in to the checkout area. I also walked to checkout area (almost same time as him) and at the same time I was talking to my friend. He then looked at me and we locked eyes. It obviously felt very awkward and I then made U turn and went to another line out of his view. So he obviously noticed how I ignored him.
But it was funny how he quickly recognized me although he hasn’t seen me for a long time. Also my friend noticed how he turned to look at me and got tense. He quickly paid his food and walked out of the store lol

You said he paid for his items and left, in other words did what people normally do at a store. Stop projecting and making shit up, he did not give a shit about seeing you. You WANTED him to be all upset and he wasn't. He WAS indifferent. You are trying to spin it and doing a terrible job.
It is an extremely awkward situation.
Why would he still act awkward around me especially after years later?
