Why make promises you can't keep? Ugh.  I want to say f all men but not all men are bad. Just most of the ones I deal with seem to be.

Because  humans  have free will, the ability to choose. The ability to take action, or inaction. I guarantee you 100% of the world will  not  like you. This doesn't make you bad. It just means you need to find people who are on the same page as you are, or at least the same chapter. Also, bonus points for not pointing at an entire gender as if it is some hivemind mentality.  Some  men suck.  Some  women suck.  Some  non-bines suck. Finding someone you vibe with is actually pretty hard, though. Tired of misogynists  and  misandrists. The gender war solves nothing. We should be calling out shitty behavior where we see it, or avoiding it when we can. When I say  Not All Group-Gender  doesn't mean I am defending people who impose their will upon others. I do not stand up for harm against fellow humans. I am simply saying if you directly tie being a piece of shit to a gender/sex (something we don't even pick when we are born) that's blaming 100% of that group for the actions of 25-50% of it. Not that I expect to be praised for not being an asshole. But to answer your question, generally, toxic masculinity is something they didn't unlearn. Maybe they had a bad father. Maybe they got the wrong friends who saw women as an  other  rather than another flavor of human. There's also a point in your life, when you're old enough, to be self aware. "Am I somehow hurting others? Where? How can I stop?" and if they don't care or ask that question, if they accept being an asshole, then they're entitled to a reality check, sometime, somewhere.
