Because he’s just being nice. Most men don’t want to hurt or insult women because we know how delicate their feelings are. Besides that, women can’t face the truth. Men get rejected all the time. Not so many women get rejected as men so when it happens to a female it’s usually devastating. Most women aren’t just going to accept his answer.
