Guys, If a guy makes it a point to say when he will see you again, does he want to see you again or am I reading into it?

Here's some context for you guys:
We will see eachother again next week. We aren't dating, but I really like him, not that I would date him right now. I am aware there are people who try to skew the questions to get the answer they want, and I'm trying really hard to not be one of those people.
We are coworkers, but we don't work a lot of shifts together. In the last month we have literally only worked once together and that was today.
Okay, so just before he left, this took place. I was engrossed with work, but I heard him call behind me, "bye, (my name)!" A bit of fumbling of paper is heard then, "When will we see each other again? Ah, Thursday. Well, I guess I will see you then. See ya (my name)."

I do need an outside opinion, of the opposite sex. If the roles were reversed, my subliminal message would be 'I would like to see you sooner than next week'. But I am not a dude, and I am probably just reading into it because I like him. Please pull my head from the clouds
