Girls, do the tears of a guy who has been a jerk make you feel anything?

Lets say you have given him many chances and he screws up because of his temper or overly sarcastic comments. You get mad at him one last time and nothing he says makes you change your mind, you don't talk to him, are cold and you act like he doesn't exist.

You know he is a nice guy because he has shown you and you used to talk and laugh with him a lot, up until this point.

Lets say because of the way you are being to him ( because he deserves it) he just feels so low and horrible that tears will come out of his eyes and tells you how sorry he is for hurting you, do you think less of him or do you think he is being sincere?

This happened to me today, I never felt worse my entire life because I care for her so much. She acted like she didn't care, but she would keep glancing at me, I guess to see if I was still crying, but whe. I talked to her, she wouldn't even look at me, she would just have a pissed off look on her face, but she would tighten her lips, like she wanted to say something but was supressing it.

Is this friendship over?

I get why she's being a bitch, but seeing as she is a bitch to you, it shows she cares. if she didn't care, she wouldn't care about being cold and mean to you, if she didn't care about you. Seeing as she cares about you, you still have a change to make it right. Stop the sarcastic/rude comment and control your temper. Let her show you REALLY care about her. It might take some time, but if she sees you really try to change and you really care, she'll forgive you.

Tell her you really care for her. And if you really want to be friends with her, you'll have to prove to her that you won't do whatever you are doing wrong ever again. If you don't show respect for her then what makes you think she will give you hers. Just keep trying.

Its just so difficult, I know she doesn't not hate me, she is just so mad at me and its been so long and when I think she got over it, she gets worse. The thing is that if I go an eye for an eye, she would start wailing and crying and end up feeling worse, so I either feel horrible for how she acts with me every time she sees me and I have to act like it doesn't bother me (when it kills me) or suffer through a worse feeling of seeing her hurt once again :/

I think I need more detail here about the situation before making a legitimate answer. What exactly happened for her to be pissed at you? Were you together or just friends? Feel free to message me or elaborate in the comments.

What happened? Well, we were friends and we had fun talking everyday and stuff, we had a sarcastic/smartass relationship, we teased each other and had fun. I knew she understood me and for that reason, sometimes I would take out my day bad on her, be sarcastic or a jerk, SHe would react the same way to me and kinda go eye for an eye but then, eventually, we would make up. Sometimes I would be annoyed and not talk and she picked it up so easily and get mad, I guess she just just got tired of it.

I've seen jerks cry before and very little if nothing changes in the long run. Sure it shows me that t hey have emotions and feelings but they still don't care about other peoples feelings and only do things if they get something out of it.

I guess you are right. I just don't like the fact that she feels entitled to disrespect me and ac like a bitch even when I'm not opening my mouth or am being civil and polite to her. I have seen enough of her tears and mine for that matter but whatever, I'll just let her go around doing all this crap. She is a nice girl and I know she'll get tired of acting like this. I can't forgive myself for acting the way I did and I'm sure she'll feel the same after I put up with all her crap and her rage stops

from your question I'm assuming you relize you're a jerk: Do you think you can change who you are not just for her but change the way you treat others respect other people and try to respond to them in a way you would like to be treated?

I also want to add she shouldn't disrespect you and treat you baddly, If she know's who you currently are and what you're like she should expect certian behivour from you that she wouldn't from others. pluss no one should have to take virbal and emotional abuse

I'm only a jerk to her, I guess because I thought she "got" me. I have a lot of friends and they think I'm great, except her. She is not the jerk, I am the jerk and she is acting like this because I earned it and she took it for so long. The thing is that now, I can't talk to her. She is rude and cold all the time towards me. It hurts me when she barely says hello to me but she'll be all chatty and way different to ANY other person, when she is around me, she has a pissed off face all the time

Not really, I'm a jerk through and through, she is the only person I've ever been nice to but my jerk nature surfaces way too much. The worst thing is seeing a nice girl like her act like a female version of me, a person who does not give a crap about people (or in her case, a crap about me)

I did see a guy who had jerk me around shed one tear while I was reaming him for being a jerk. He had really hurt me and deserved what he got. Meanwhile, he mentioned that he doesn't cry as a rule, that he doesn't think he can, so the fact that he was moved to shed a tear meant something for me. Did he change the way he was acting towards me? A little, but he falls back into a pattern unless prompted back to being nice to me...
