I can't speak for all guys. Every individual is different. But I for one set hard boundaries. I will not text 4 hours a day. And a couple of phone calls a week are enough. A couple of texts a day are OK.

As someone else already said, I have a life and friends and interests of my own. So should you. If you're calling me when I'm out with friends just to check up on me, don't be surprised if I don't pick up. My attention is on the people I'm with. When I'm with you my attention is on you. Or are you OK with me taking calls and stepping away from you for a few when we're together?

I think this pocket computer (aka mobile phone) and internet connectivity is actually bad for society where relationships are concerned. Instant gratification destroys anticipation and desire. If we've been talking for an hour every day and texting all day long, what's left to talk about on a Saturday night? How bored we are with each other? There's nothing special about coming together, face to face, and sharing our week, listening, laughing, comforting, when we can see body language and hear voice inflections or reach out and touch each other.

Yes it gets annoying. Now there are going to be some men who say no id love for her to call me every night, but that’s usually in the beginning stages of a relationship. That honeymoon phase as it’s called. After a while it just gets annoying cause a lot of times it’s about nonsense, maybe the same stuff she told you already, or her complaining about how bad her day was at work or in general. He has a life too. You’re going to push him away if you’re constantly calling or texting him every second of every minute of everyday. I mean honestly it can just get boring because a lot of times the men don’t have much to say. We don’t talk a lot. So you’re just sitting listening to her ramble on, not trying to be rude but wanting to say ok I gotta go.

I am unable to give you an answer that applies to a single gender as you will always find the one or the other that does not fit in a frame and that thinks differently.

However, if I was in that position, regardless of the gender, I personally would not like it too much because it would give me the uneasy feeling that I am stalked or spied on and that I am not free of my movements and being observed.

While this applies to a number of humans, there are probably those that don't mind, mostly those that are lonely and like to have company, even if it is only on the phone.

It depends
There is a point in a relationship where you want them to be the first one to hear everything.
But that point takes time to reach. It's earned and key is it needs to be received. They have to want to be the first person to learn every little thing that happens to you.

New relationships are too fresh. That bond early on is rare. So the want to call them is probably more from obsession. And obsession comes across as clingy.

Yup, How I'm supposed to do things I like if she's calling me every night. I think texting every day is good enough but calling every day is bit overboard. Also I don't think it's healthy to text all day but more so throughout the day. Maybe if the call every day is like an hour.

There needs to be healthy not all time consuming relationship. And I'm pretty clingy but say this

Some guys hate it, some guys like it... but generally I'd consider it a pain in the arse. Sometimes guys want to do other things, and introvert guys in particular need plenty of alone time without being pestered.
