Recently I reached out to a friend who is one of my best friends but also a ex from 21 years ago (we talk casually still by text) about relationship issues for a guys perspective and in this conversation I had implied I must be a bad girlfriend (prior I had asked him if I was and he said no, I was a fantastic girlfriend) this time he said ‘you’re not a bad girlfriend…I wouldn’t think so’
Does he still have more than friend feelings for me?

I would not equate this specific response to him having feelings. Take the fact that you reached out to him (because everything else was failing and he was a memorable connection) out of the equation. When you’re talking down about yourself implying that you’re a bad girlfriend, how would you genuinely expect someone who you consider a friend (male or female) to respond? I mean you seek validation when you’re downing yourself, so should a friend have been rude to you? Agree with your implications that you aren’t good enough?

Yea or he's just trying to get with you lol. Definitely seems like he wants to see you though, unless he or you are in a relationship? Then he might just be trying to be friendly, but still "I wouldn't think so" sounds like he might want to get with you.

He just got out of a relationship and mine is rocky right now. Plus me being in relationships didn’t stop him from asking me out in high school, I turned him down 4 times over 4 years
