Today I got blocked by a classmate of mine on Instagram. Well what led up to this was how I felt that I was being treated by this classmate. This person was known by some to be a douchebag, arrogant and etc. I didn't want to judge by what others would say so I decided to extend kindness and see for myself. Well he turned out to be very cocky and when I tried to work with him in class on a project, the way he treated me was as though I wasn't that important and I felt brushed off a lot. It was always me initiating the conversation as well and trying to be helpful and offer helpful resources. So even the conversations seemed one sided. Even though I tried to still remain kind to this person I was always for the most part ignored when I tried to reach out through message or anything. Well I decided to bring it to their attention and maybe I went too far I don't know but I sent them an email in regards to us working on a school project but I also expressed how I felt. I told them that their energy felt very self-centered, egocentric and dismissive and somewhat rude. I did tell them that I was in no way trying to judge them but that is the energy that I felt from them and it just did not feel pleasant. Well next thing I know they go on instagram and block me. When I found this out, I didn't feel anything from it and was kind of like well at least I know now. Do you think I was wrong to express how I was being treated? I also have class with this person tomorrow. No i'm not going to say anything to him at all. I will just mind my business. Please be kind with your response is all I ask.

You went into this friendship knowing that you were dealing with a guy who had a reputation for being arrogant and A douchebag, then you learned for yourself that he was exactly these things. So there’s no way you should feel any sort of confusion, shock, hurt, etc when he does exactly what he’s known for doing, yet again. So while no you weren’t wrong for speaking on how you feel, him blocking you should be completely unsurprising.
very true
Blocking someone isn’t a moral action, nor is it a moral failing on your part. He didn’t like you, so he blocked you. That’s all.
