Most women want to fall in love whereas many men only want to chase the high of novelty and have sex with many women. Is it true and if so why?

It's not true for all men, but I agree it is for at least 50%. The simple answer is that men don't equate fidelity or monogamy with love. The thrill of the chase is more exciting than the actual conquest for many men. After a time, they seek variety over familiarity. It's always been that way, no matter how women have tried to domesticate men otherwise.

They probably are thinking short term and not prioritizing finding a long term partner. I would guess this is more common among men. Personally, I only have energy and desire to pursue a potential soul mate.
