Does looking young give other men green light to treat youthful looking men bad?

Im 39 years old and have a very young face. Im in the gym often. Lean but 200lbs barely any body fat and pretty strong although I do wear glasses, and look smart and techy but Im fit.. Im not really short.. about 6'0 even and in a leadership role.. anyway because of my lean build and young face.. I've always received dominating or attempted dominating behavior from other men who Im even older then (they look older as I felt like I some how kept my youth in place all these years). I finally got pushed to the edge after a comment was made "its alright son, you'll understand once you get older like me" and he is my age exactly... and I keep thinking to myself like its not like Im lean and at 180 or 170lbs at 5'9.. like Im a legit 6ft 200lbs with conditioning and combat/kickboxing background (there are smaller men who aren't defenseless).. so for the first time in years I barked back and meant it.. I asked him if he wanted to bench press him then fold him (I can bench over 300lbs) and I was not f*cking around with him.. and everyone got quiet... and he said nothing else to me even though he said he was playing... do I need to assert my dominance toward other men moving forward when they make these comments and why do men feel comfortable messing with other guys who are grown but look young for the age like there aren't any potential physical consequences?
