Controversial theory: Are men attracted to weakness and vulnerability?

I feel like this could be the case. This animalistic and primitive side, identifying an easy target. Doesn't always have to be bad: maybe a desire to protect? Is this sexist of me to think?

I know this wouldn't apply to every man, of course! But generally, is this a pattern?

As an autistic woman, I feel like men are attracted to the aspects that make me more of a 'target' but that's just my experience.

Not exactly. Men definitely enjoy the rush of feeling that masculinity, but truthfully masculinity as we know it today doesn’t celebrate being masculine, it just outlines what is NOT feminine. Vulnerability and weakness is inherently associated with femininity by this definition, so playing the damsel can certainly help a woman snag a man, however when the chips are down he’s not likely to be the hero women pretend he is to make him feel better, which only served to further damage his incredibly fragile ego.

Weak people like to find someone weaker to take advantage of. Everyone who is healthy is attracted to vulnerability. It shows they trust you.

I agree. Men are programmed to provide for women. It's not an "easy target" as much as it's women are valuable and it's natural to protect the valuable things in your life.
