I met a guy in social setting twice , he gave me lot of attention without any follow up , later when I messaged him , he left on read. I'm stuck. Why?

I come from a very conservative family , also never had guy friends in life. I live with my mom and sister separately, my mom left my father because he was a womaniser, he later abandoned us and lived his life selfishly, I had very less friends, Though I look good I get hit on by guys , but I Have low self esteem , low self confidence and self worth issues , Iam a pick me girl. I walked away from people played me and breadcrumbed me. I have history of toxic family dynamics, my mom is the only care giver. Due to my issues iam still living a mediocre life and no direction in life.

In a social interaction , the entrepreneur who is our senior and I shared glances, finally he took lead and we had great conversation, he told me a lot about his professional achievements, bragged about his background, later in second interaction at a lunch , it was a group setting, this time he told about his dating life his ex , he only showed me his personal diary in which he wrote feelings for her , told a lot about him and her, showed me a song he wrote and released on youtube , later we discussed on multidimensional different topics and our conversation went on.

At first interaction he asked my instagram I'd I deleted my socials so I said the same. Later we didn't got connected. We only met twice.

I used to stalk his social media accounts secretly through a fake accounts since then , later I requested connection on LinkedIn to both his accounts in June , which he accepted, later after few months in Oct , I dropped a message regarding any internship opportunities, he left message on read and didn't reply. Why did he give me lot of attention in person , made me feel seen and heard for the first time in life , validated me. He is my limerent object. I cannot get over him. Was it love bombing, he gave me lot of compliments too. Was he a narcissist?

I think you were mostly just a social moment for him, or gave him a moment of feeling romantic or cool. He bragged about all his achievements and then he talked a lot to you about his ex, showing you his diary and a song he wrote and a lot of that sad nonsense. He obviously was still not over her, which is very likely the reason why he hasn't really gotten back in touch with you. Either because he got back together with her, or he's just over the little nostalgic moment he had with you at that social gathering.

I'm not going to knock you too badly for stalking him on social media because you got fascinated and infatuated with him, a lot of people go through this at one point or another, and you don't have a lot of experience with guys or dating since you said you never really had male friends and such, which is totally okay.

But going forward, always know this: if someone is talking to you on end about an ex, you can rest assured they still haven't gotten over them, and there's always a good chance they will drop you to go back if they hear from them again. Count this guy as a learning lesson and a loss and keep moving. There is definitely better out there.

To address the main question it is probably because you messaged after a few months of initial contact. That is the problem. He may have forgotten about adding you or that you even existed after a few months. He saw the message and most likely was confused as to who you were. You are also using multiple fake accounts by your own admission making things even more confusing. So that is likely the reason. Now the other part of this is I don't think that you are ready for a relationship with someone at this point in your life. You admit to stalking this man and making fake accounts. That is a toxic type of behavior and not a good way to start off a relationship or courtship. You need to work on all the issues that you freely admit to before getting involved with someone. A relationship right now with everything you just described is only going to compound problems.

He added me back on LinkedIn, he accepted the connection, my photo and bio were all updated. He ignored my message on LinkedIn, which was regarding internship opportunity at his place because he is an entrepreneur.

I admit stalking his public instagram account secretly with a fake account.

He told me a lot about his professional and personal life, about his ex , how she cheated on him , etc... just in both the interactions.

That's why I'm stuck. Any suggestions you would give
