Boyfriend said he’d smash her skull in?

My boyfriend and I were arguing about a time when he said that if I hit him, he would hit me back. I felt appalled and he said that obviously if I had hit him he would de escalate but if a woman was beating him up , he would beat her up / hit her too. He also said that if a woman were stabbing him he would smash her skull in … Am I wrong for thinking that is too much? Just the thought of me smashing a guy’s skull in for stabbing me, to defend myself feels bad. What do you think?

This is all hypothetical. No one is hurting no one and we don’t want to hit each ohthrr.
But what I’m confused on now is that , later on after everything settled. I asked him why he said that (about the skull), he said because he was angry. Then, after discussing he said he said nothing wrong by defending himself that way. Did he just contradict himself? Did he say it bc he was angry or he thinks it’s justified?

If a woman tries to stab someone, that's attempted murder. So if he smashed her skull in, that would be self-defense. Honestly, the way I see it is a real man doesn't hit a woman. But a real woman doesn't hit a man. If a woman wants to act tough and buck up to a man, she loses her privilege of being treated like a woman. We all know a man who hits a woman is a pathetic coward (I'm keeping this PG). But, to me, a woman who hits a man is also a pathetic coward. Because women who hit men only do so because they know/think men won't hit them back. Do you think these women who hit men would ever go up to another woman who was larger than her and started beating her up the way they beat their boyfriend? Probably not, because they would most likely get beat up by the other woman. Men, on the other hand, have the societal standard to not hit a woman. Another thing they don't tell you is men may hit harder than women but women hit more often than men. This is because women know they can get away with hitting men. There was this video of 1 woman being jumped by 5 "women" so the husband of the woman being jumped protected his wife and fought the 5 women. And the surrounding people were giving him a hard time when it was literally 5 against 1. Mind you, these people who were angry about it could have stepped up when the woman was being jumped so her husband did not need to protect her. But they stood there and did nothing and then bitched when the 1 guy proceeded to fight 5 women. So for me, personally, I wouldn't have an issue with a man who hit a woman who hit them. That's not to say I believe a man can kill a woman who slapped him. But if she slapped him, he could slap her. If she punched him, he could punch her. If she legitimately tried to kill him, he could kill her. That's the way I see it.

I’m going to comment on many things you said. First thing why would you hit him? Second thing is if you hit him why would you be surprised if he hit you back?
I don’t believe in hitting women, but I also am not a punching bag so if a woman hit me, I would try to de-escalate like your boyfriend said if that’s not possible I will hit her.
Third thing is anybody is trying to stab me. I’m gonna hit him so hard. They may not wake up for a week if they’re lucky. Do you expect your boyfriend to be stabbed by some girl and he’s just gonna stand there and let her stab him? You have some strange beliefs.

I think violence is only an answer in a situation where your life or someone else's life you care about is in danger or in fear for life, threatening to hit a woman simply cause they get hit is cowardly, mostly since most men can easily stop a woman from hitting them, just grab their hand and hold it up in the air 😂

It does sound like his hypothetical responses are too extreme, but it would depend on the level of threat. I'm not a lawyer, but I believe in most jurisdictions, it is acceptable to use reasonable force necessary to defend oneself.
