Gotcha. To be very honest with this context in mind I don’t see how he’d be pulling away. You say you don’t like texting much, so why would he keep double/triple texting if he knows you aren’t into that?

Maybe that’s something to make clear, because in all honesty some people don’t know how to navigate that. If you’re saying you only want casual sex with little to no communication in between, then definitely make that known. He may just be trying to sustain the connection when he’s texting often, which makes sense because a lot of women would say they feel used or degraded if a man is only hitting them up for sex and nothing else. He could be trying to avoid making you feel that way, which is considerate but you can totally tell him that he doesn’t need to. Nothing wrong with that route, I guess it helps to avoid emotional attachment.
