Can’t tell if he wants something more serious or casual?

I went on a date with a guy last night and it went really well. He held my hand in the car and in public, kissed my forehead, and kissed me goodnight. More than that happened too but I won’t describe lol. But we got along really well and it was a lot of fun - we both agreed on that. He talked at the end about hanging out again and has mentioned over text how he’s gonna plan something. He asks about how my day is going, compliments me, sends good morning/good night texts, and is flirty too. I can’t tell if he’s giving signs of wanting something serious or just for fun, and I do plan to ask him obviously, but I am just curious what others thoughts are based on this.

He definitely likes you, and is interested in you, but to know whether he wants something casual or serious is going to take you asking the question. If it's only early days though, maybe just wary to not be too much too soon?

How long have you known each other. A good/fun night is nice, but it's not necessarily a sign that he wants to take you seriously. Gotta give him a while to think things through.
