Is it a sign of insecurity to attack a person of the opposite gender because they have high standards?

And not just insecurity. Because you can be insecure but not be rude.

What made me ask this question was the videos I saw on instagram where men were asked for example if they would date a woman with cellulite, if they would date a woman who didn't take after their looks, or if they would date a woman with a high body count, etc.

The comments of women were full of hatred. It is obvious thesr women didn't meet those standards hence got bitter because of it and decided to lash out the wrath by leavimg hateful comments. This much obsession over male attention is unhealthy. It is so immature and insecure of them to get that angry that they cuss and curse men. Don't they see their wrath exposes how they are hurt for not meeting the high standards.

I am sure bitter men like these women do also exist though I haven't seen.

I want you all not to stoop that low. The opposite sex doesn't deserve to make you feel hateful.

Having high standards is one thing, but to present them as normal or even low standards, and act like everyone who doesn't meet them is objectively ugly and undateable, that is a very different thing.

I have no problem with a woman saying she only dates 6' and taller men. I think it's stupid and harmful for a woman to say every man under 6' tall is not a real man and no woman will ever want him.

I certainly don't want to date women who think like that, so I don't think I'm bitter that I don't meet their standards. I would go out of my way to avoid being around them though, and if one of my friends thought like that I would confront them about it.

That honestly depends on how he says it. I'm not great with tone, but unfortunately it can change the meaning of a sentence a lot. Other people can usually tell though.

If you heard him say it, what do you think he meant? Do you think he meant just that that was his personal standard that he decided on, and other people can have their own just as valid standards? Or do you think he meant that women who don't meet that standard are objectively low quality so he wouldn't date them and no respectable man would date them either?

I know I'm just saying the tone can imply a lot of different things. I would say share an audio clip like a video if you have it, but I'm not good at hearing tone so I usually just depend on how other people react to it to tell what kind of tone they used. If they didn't say it in a way that sounded degrading then they probably didn't mean it in a degrading way.

You make some solid points. What’s kind of funny is that men’s standards aren’t even that high. What frustrates the harpies is that THEY made the choices that made them less desirable, almost entirely at the behest of other women. Contrarily, women’s standards for men are often based on things men have little to no control over, height, hair, dick size, and even income. There are definitely many men out there frustrated beyond words about women’s expectations. I’m not sure how you’ve managed to overlook them, particularly on G@G. Ell oh ell! I just tend to be more understanding of men’s frustration. Not just because i’m a man. Because there’s no equity between men’s expectations and women’s expectations.

You haven’t seen this from men? Really? The whole internet is full of whiny men who complain about womens standards, including this site. There are whole websites and social groups dedicated to men who complain to other men about womens standards. Whenever a woman expresses standards in a video the whole comment section is invaded by bitter men who love to tell them their standards are too high, who do they think they are, how they’re hypergamous and will end up lonely cat ladies for having standards. Literally whole youtube channels exist with the only purpose to speak shit about and spread hatred towards women because essentially they have standards and won’t date anyone.

I think people that set the unrealistic "standards" of themselves, do so to hide their own deep-rooted insecurities then use it as a means to increase their own value to themselves. This usually results in them devaluing everyone else. Which again, helps them inflate their own value to themselves.

The things you listed aren't exactly high standards.. Well cellulite might be a bit unreasonable, but the other two are very reasonable and normal.. All the women who did that obviously either fit those red flags, or they think that men should accept any woman's flaws, and damn near worship the ground any woman walks on.. It's insecurity, but we all have insecurities, it's something deeper than that..
