Rejection, Mixed Signals, and a Hidden Relationship?

I sent a message to the person I was interested in, and he rejected it by saying he wasn’t interested. When i asked if i misread all? He replied: it happened to him before. After that, however, his body language showed the opposite. I therefore gave him ofcourse no attention. But i was confused with his earlier message... So, after doing some research, I found out that he is in a long-term relationship. Why would a man hide the fact that he is in a relationship? Why did he not wrote immediately to me, i am in a relationship, instead of not interested?

Why does he have to clarify why he is not interested? You are making lots of demands you really shouldn't.

If a person after saying not interested, but creating after that proximity and ambiguity. That creates confusion. It would have been fair if he told me straight away that he has someone.

I think you would have seem ambiguity and proximity no matter what he did, so that's on you.

This is bullshit, if someone says "not interested". That's it. The end. He doesn't owe you any justification. He isn't obligated to avoid you or not talk to you either. You can avoid him. Again this is all on you.

Misread not misleading. But he could have said in my opinion, i have someone, then it would be clear. Instead of saying i am not interested, but his behavior is creating Proximity and ambiguity

I know what you said but I'm asking what was misleading about how he talked to you that you assumed he was interested and not just trying to have a platonic connection?
