Does he like me or did he just like the attention coming from me liking him?

A guy (29) at work and I (27) have been bonding about our favorite sport for 3-4 months. About 2 months ago, one of my coworker friends had told me that he knows that I like him and can tell that I do. I figured since he knew that and wasn’t making a move that it wasn’t reciprocated, son began to try to move on. Then, he suddenly started doing some things differently.

In the last month, he would start giving me tighter and longer hugs, rubbing my back, when he leaves after completing his shift (he gets off before me) and when he greeted me. He would give other coworkers a quick, one-armed hug , so I was wondering if he was starting to feel something. There was even a conversation where we were talking about a player having a lot kids and both him and I asked each other if we’d want kids and how many. He would tease me and make jokes about this being my song (when they played music on the radio at work) and saying “ooo who are you texting , your boyfriend?” when he caught me on my phone. Sometimes he’d exaggerate my name or switch the first letter of my name to mess with me. Maybe this was friendly since he seems like the type who is cool with everyone , but it felt as if he was paying more attention to me in a different way at this point. Always checking up on me multiple times asking if I was okay if I looked down.

However, this past week, when I asked and got his number, he mentioned how all of our coworkers have his number and how it’s not just me. That same day, he left giving me a tight hug again before leaving. I felt that him saying that was him saying it’s him giving me his number isn’t anything special and not to get any ideas from it since he knew that I liked him. I deleted his number and never texted him because of that. He greeted me with a quick , one armed hug initiated by him. When he left, he didn’t try to give me a hug like he did and just said see you later.

A girl that I stopped being friend with texted a mutual friend saying that the guy asked her why I was so “obsessed” with him and said that he can see why we don’t talk anymore. Seems like he switches up and acts fake since he’s been the one initiating conversations with me lately.

He trying to get with you but he doesn't want to make you uncomfortable, he wants you to initiate with him, sometimes us men want the woman to say, hey I like you and I wanna be more then just coworkers or friends, if your scared of rejection then nothing is going to happen because he's waiting on you. Some men just go for it and ask you instead of waiting for her to ask.

but if everyone has his his number and there all woman then that concerning.

Or maybe it's nothing and he's just a likable friendly guy and just wants to be genuine friends

The one arm hug is him sensing you being comfortable and weirded out by his past approaches.

There's only three things going on here,

1) He's trying to be with you but waiting on your approval because if he wasn't waiting on you he would of ask you out already

2) Wants to just get some side chick

3) Just nothing and being very friendly and wants to be friends

You need to speak up and just say in private, Hey do you want to be friends or more? Be blunt. If not your never going to find out what's going on.

Block the guy and ignore him completely. There’s no reason to pay him any attention whatsoever. He’s a narcissist and will end up destroying your reputation if you let him.
