I have this coworker who knows that I like him and he said he liked me too but he has a girl in his life. Because he has a “girlfriend?” we don’t talk much outside work but I don’t understand him at work. He stares at me often when I’m working and will also try to make excuses to come near me. When he does talk to me It’s always to either complain or vent about the job or something in his life.
When the word got out three months ago that I liked him, he didn’t care to stop the rumors and mention his girlfriend. It looked as if he was egging it on. He just started working with a new guy and his first thing to do was introduce him to me and flirted with me in front of him. He’s done this with other coworkers too. It’s almost like he’s excited I like him but won’t act on it. He talks to me at work a couple of times but never text me when he leaves. He has my number, I have his but nothing. I texted him once in the past and he texted back a little then stopped. I spoke to him on my own one time and he asked me why don’t I text him anymore.

If he wanted to physically cheat on his girlfriend with you, he probably would have moved towards that already. But would you want him to? That's shitty. And you should want something better for yourself as well.
I agree with the other comment, that it's probably more of just an ego boost for him.
I wouldn't waste your time waiting for him to come around while he is in a relationship. You don't want to be the other woman, and you definitely don't want to involve yourself in drama with an angry girlfriend.
Best to keep your (emotional) distance from this guy.
If I were you I wouldn’t show him another ounce of flirtatious attention because this is becoming insulting. He openly flirts, knowing you like him and that he can’t reciprocate because he’s taken. There’s rumors flying about you liking him, which makes you look so school girl and pathetic since you can’t have him. It’s just shitty, because this is totally about the attention and confidence boost that you give him. On top of that, you are seeing first hand what he does behind his girlfriend’s back. Why would you want any parts of that? Like you’d have zero peace of mind and no, you are not above it.
Wow, sounds like a whole lotta nothing. Why does it matter, since, HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND. Remember? So gross.
