So basically there’s this guy I like and pretty sure he likes me back. He briefly flirted with me back in August and I would notice that he’d act nervously when I was around. We were in the same class 2 years ago but we never actually talked. He also smiled once when he saw me because he didn’t expect me to be there. We would stared at each other for moooonths and he did try to approach me twice (his friend also tried to approach me for him) but I was so shy and so was he (I’m introverted and he’s the complete opposite). I finally was able to send him my snap and he added me there. I texted hi, he responded, and when I said wassup he decided to ghost me. I would see him being online often and I felt so offended that I decided to unadd him because I thought he wasn’t interested. Irl tho he would act the same way, stare at me, he would try to talk to me, he would act nervously… So added him because I really wanted to get to know him since we don’t really see each other that much (1x week, sometimes 2x). It’s been almost a month and no answer. His actions confuse me so much. Does he actually want me or is he simply playing with my feelings? Right now I kind of act like he’s not there because I feel like he only wants my attention…

I think that he is simply playing with your feelings. He is testing the waters to see how far he can go with you. It is the typical hot and cold treatment, also to try to make you doubt your own feelings.

His ultimate aim however, is indeed to get you where he wants and once he got you and has finished with you, he will simply dispose of you and then move onto the next target.

He is an extrovert according to you and he is taking advantage of that power. At his age, his only aim is really to get to be with as many girls as possible.

You would simply be just another number on his list of victims.

Shyness can be a real block to folks getting to know one another.

I was extremely shy as a teenager and as a young man.
I worked very hard to overcome my shyness by pushing myself out of my comfort zone a bit at a time.
When I became comfortable at that lower level of putting myself 'out there', I'd keep pushing further.
It took about a year before I was able to say that I was no longer shy.

There's no longer a shy bone in my body.

There were so many dating opportunities that I let go by because of my then shyness.
C'est la vie.

It sounds like you two have some mutual 'heat' going on between you.

If you have courage to do so, I'd approach him, tell him that you're interested, and that you suspect that he's shy, too.
That might be the icebreaker that opens the floodgates of LOVE!

He actually does know I’m interested, which is why he tries to approach me and attempts to talk to me, especially since he knows I’m shy. Before he was very closed off

I'll further say this.

As people get older, we tend to regret that which we failed to act on when the opportunity was present.

I have tons of regrets from my 'shy' youth.

I regret very little since overcoming my shyness.

This is but a suggestion to you.

Make a move or possibly live to regret that you didn't.

You can't control his behavior, but you certainly might be able to influence him in opening up to you.

If I could go back to the '70s, when Anne was very clearly dancing her cute self all around me, I'd be all over that, being the non-shy guy that I now am.
As it was, I was terrified, but I had the hots for her at the same time.
She never came right out, though, and said, "Hey Bob, I'm throwin' myself at you here!
