If a woman of a man’s past, the past only being some months ago, texts him saying “I miss you. I’m not saying I need you 😭 but I do miss you 💙” be responds later with “I’m sorry De De (nickname) I wasn’t tryna be rude by not responding But I got a situation going on.” Why respond at all? 🤣

Because it's rude not to respond, and because it's better for her to know the truth than to be lied to - especially if she may discover the lie at some point.

Presumably, this female is an adult, and as such, she needs to get used to hearing the truth, even if the truth makes her uncomfortable. That's part of being an adult - you don't get to live in delusion and fantasy anymore, and the world is imperfect and may sometimes offend you or make you sad. You have to learn to deal with that, just like every other adult.
