I caught up with a guy friend, with whom I've recently fallen in love. A few days after saying he loves me like a sister and finds the thought of intimacy with me revolting, but he wishes he didn't, because he thinks we'd be good together, we went to a friend group dinner and he started looking at my sweater and my chest when he thought I wasn't looking (I was wearing a pretty sweater).

Anyway, we had a good time, chatting to friends and after dinner, we both got up to leave and I reached out to hug him and he started turning his face closely towards mine, so I moved my face away, I had a feeling that my guy friend was trying to kiss me, in front of everyone, but no one has ever done that before, so I had it confirmed on AI google. I have Asperger's Syndrome and trouble reading new body language. So, I'm pretty sure he was making a move. But the question is, why? When he's said he doesn't want to be my boyfriend, because of a lack of attraction?

He did also mention last month that he actually is interested, but that his family wouldn't approve, because of a conflict of interest that he isn't allowed to explain to me. I did notice that he has a physical resemblance to my psychologist, who has a son around my age and whom I see to treat my depression and anxiety. I also have a doctor with a son around my age, with Asperger's, too.

Oh that explains a lot. Since he has it too he doesn't probably know certain cues as well. He may not have been trying to kiss you but he could have and is confused on how to proceed with you especially since his family doesn't approve.

yes, his family are really rich and educated, mine are middle class. He indicated that there's a conflict of interest. He said he's not attracted, but I've noticed him eyeing me a lot. Turning up more often and being more supportive. He also gets jealous when I mention other guys.

You deserve to be with someone who won't care what his family thinks. If he knows how to pursue women and sees it as a man's job then he should pursue you despite that. You seem to be a great fit for each other. It's such a shame.

Oh well, I won't poke at him or try to find out more if it's better that I don't know. He looks a lot like my psychologist, as though he could be her son or some sort of other relation.

Because there’s a guy who looks just like him, (Marco); who has hit on me online and Tom has previously recently bothered me online and also grown facial hair to join a social group we both attend to disguise himself to join my table.

From my finding out who he was. He’s sneaky and desperate. No. I liked a guy called Tom who was an arsehole. Someone who attends my social group and who was bothering me online. I moved on, opened a different dating app and met Marco. Marco looks just like Tom. Except he’s losing his hair.
