Sometimes, yes.

People can overestimate their toughness or resilience, especially if societal expectations push them to appear strong or fearless.

But it varies widely z many men are realistic about their limits, while others perform a “toughness” persona more than reflecting their true capabilities.

[MissSunshine2]

I doubt it. They just like to pretend. Like women do lol. But me, I know I'm a softie. I even get bossed around by the magpies and my pet cat.

[Cyfris]

Magpies are fierce. Like little sky tigers or something.

[MissSunshine2]

@Cyfris most definitely.

[Kingofkings1992]

That's what the question is asserting. You just said yes, and no in the same sentence

[MidnightRivers]

I don't know, generally most men know their boundaries and capabilities but i guess the ones who have something to prove and who lack situational awareness while thinking they're tough overestimate themselves

[DonaldDarko]

Most men act tough as a survival tactic. I doubt they actually think they are unless they're deluded. In most cases they're probably tougher than they think they are.

[Friendlybro79]

I can beat up like 87 people in a fight at the same time with one arm tied behind my back while with my eyes closed.

[DryGermanGuy]

It's certain personalities with a chip on their shoulder, trying to show off in front of their buddies. I saw it two or three times with a tuff guy against the German police. Didn't end well.

[Telekinetic-Potato]

I think most guys know what they can take they just underestimate what others might dish out

[FreyaRed]

Yes. Men are afraid of dentists more than women do.

[Vegasrunner]

Probably women. Men have a good grasp of physical violence because most have been in fights women dont.

[beefcakebradybatson]

I don't but being a handsome, brainy black cowboy, I'm different from about 95% of men.

[Kingofkings1992]

Brainy? Lmfao

[beefcakebradybatson]

Truth hurts, eh, pard?

[Kingofkings1992]

Not really, that's why I'm laughing 🤣

[Unknown527]

if you want to hurt people or have no problem taking a crowbar to someone then your a lot better at fighting because there's no part of you that restricts yourself

[Anonymous]

I don't know if they believe it or just want you to believe it. Either way the chest beating is funny to watch.

[236color]

The only tough guys are dead or in jail.

[KimmySchmit]

Especially short guys.

[jshm2]

It's just one of the powers of testosterone

[jamesgoldman]

Some do, especially those with something to prove
