What does that look like? and how do you act when she’s unappealing, in contrast?

Growing up from my teens all the way to my 40s there was a group of us maybe 12 14 15 people that every weekend some weeknights we were always hanging out we were always doing things together we would go to the Lake camping we would go to clubbing my friends and I race dirt bikes we would all go there you know every we would include each other and everything we did and when you know somebody you grow up with somebody that closely you can just about say anything and you flirt and you are a smart ass and that's how it's taken too because we all respect each other we all protected each other nobody would hurt you know somebody by getting out of the line but we would flirt we grew up knowing each other from our early teens and we would tease each other all the time but the one thing that when you're that tight when you're that good of friends you don't disrespect you know there's a there's a line there that you just don't cross over and even though we would many times by just being smart asses but we also knew we were being smart asses and it would be funny whatever it was that we were doing and to this day we run into each other and we have each other you know we'll kiss we'll say hello let's hang out whatever because we are that tight we are like brothers and sisters well probably better than brothers and sisters

Never a friends wife or significant other. I draw a clear mental line in the sand. I can like them and be friends and I can appreciate the things she does or the way she looks and how she treats my buddy. I'd even go as far to say I can enjoy her company and spending time with her. But it doesn't go beyond that. There is no while he is out of town thoughts or anything that creep in. I won't be alone with buddies ladies either. Not that I think it wrong of people who do I just don't put myself in situations with the potential for disaster intentionally. When she is unappealing I will distance myself from her and him in some cases depending how strong my feelings are.. Have not talked to someone I considered like a brother at one point in almost 10 years because of his girl.

I’m asking if you notice mannerisms and can distinguish between a woman who treats your friend really well and someone who is standard run of the mill nothing special about her. or does it matter

Oh yeah of course I notice if she treats him well and when she makes that extra effort around me. I even make a point to comment to him about it usually like you got a good one pal. I don't really judge negatively anything mid or run of the mill and mostly just glaze over it and assume if she is run of the mill around me that she is giving him what he needs and it is just non of my business. If she is what I deem unappealing is where I am usually most silent about it and just make sure to keep my spare sheets for the spare room cleaned and at the ready and avoid her where possible.

what happened with the friend you stopped talking to? she treated him terrible and you spoke up?

She had a stroke and we did things for her I didn't know men were capable of and she was so ungrateful and disgusting about the way she treated us and so I broke clear and tried for a while to remain friends with him but it just became to complicated to do so because when I walked away I became the enemy to her and what he had to face when he returned if she knew we were together just made the whole thing simpler if I just wasn't around.. He had kids with her before the stroke and felt obligated to her after the stroke even though it was all her on doing and lifestyle choices that got her there in the first place. She was so lazy and unhealthy she had a stroke at 34 with no underlying health causes. Real piece of work. It is a shame we had been like brothers for a decade but I couldn't hurt someone I love and keep putting him through it

Of course they do. Just cause she’s married or taken doesn’t mean he can’t find her attractive. Now whether he acts upon it or not each person is different.
