Do these college guys actually like us or is this just weird behavior?

So me and my friend (girls, both young adults) have basically zero experience with guys, and we’re both shy, so please help us because we feel like we’re losing the plot.

Situation 1:
My friend suddenly goes, “That guy has been staring at you for a concerningly long time.”
I immediately panic and go to the classroom.

We’ll call him Mike.

Situation 2:
The next day, another guy, John, comes up to me and says “Hey :)” I say hi back like a normal human being (barely), and then this guy gestures for me to come closer like we’re in some kind of secret meeting.

I got so embarrassed I basically hit him with the “i'm sorry I have to go”.

Later we realize… John is friends with Mike.

Since then, they keep looking at us ALL the time. And when we walk past them, they go dead silent like we just walked into a crime scene, or sometimes one of them (we don't know who) wolf-whistles at us.

Situation 3:
There’s a third guy in the group, Liam. This one is extra.

We’ll be walking by, his back is fully turned… and he will dramatically turn ALL THE WAY AROUND just to look at us like he’s in a movie trailer. This happened many times.

Like how does Liam know we’re passing by? And why so dramatic?

This has been happening for MONTHS. Not days. MONTHS...

No one has said anything more. Just a lot of staring. Silence. Dramatic turning.

We are so confused.

Do they like us? Do they like my friend? Me? Do they not? Is this normal guy behavior or are we accidentally in a very slow-burning college drama?

So, basically you are in college where men are at a peak when it comes to their sexual hormones testosterone.

I fear that they, like very many guys in college, have made a bet who will get into your pants first. They are obviously not interested in your for your intelligence and good character but it all boils down to what you can offer to them in terms of physical activity that would take care of that testosterone problem.

Have no illusions though. Once they got you where they want and have used and misused you for what they have in mind, you are going to be disposed like an old tissue and they will concentrate their attention to the next potential victim.

And you? Well, you will be an experience richer and probably one additional health problem.

Okay, so assuming you're not psychotic and everything is really happening in what we call objective reality:

Do they like you?
Yes, hence the "come closer" and "wolf-whistling", it signals mating season.

Is this weird behavior?
Yes, like anything not articulated, since we invented language, dictionaries and culture, anyone not using them would seem particularly late to civilization.
