Was he flirting with another girl just to make me jealous?

So I noticed this guy can be really inconsistent with regards to his behaviour.

He was once all 'sit here' (as in next to him) to another girl. A girl who I thought he liked.

My gut feeling is he was trying to make me jealous.

I don't know if he was but he spent most of the time afterwards focusing on me not her. I don't know he seems to act out a lot around me.

I mean I have definitely seen signs he likes her so I didn't know what to make of that 'sit here' part. This guy is so weird I mean if he likes her why would he use her to make me jealous I almost wonder maybe he doesn't like anyone and is playing with both of our feelings.

I really dont want to barerer of the bad news. It could mean nothing at all and he just sat next to you because your seat next to you was available and the other girl he liked was their coincidentally.

Have you spoken to him at all because, what may be going on here truthfully snd its going to hurt is that your projecting intentions on to him because you fancy him. I mean has she spoken suggestively to you where there's no mistake in what he's saying because if so then he just sounds immature.

Oh well that's a shame. All I can say to you is does he do this with multiple women? does he flirt with everyone including you? If he is immature like this he may not be someone I'd want to pursue because there's a chance not guaranteed but he could cheat especially if he's a good looking bloke. So play it be ear and keep watching but until your sure dont ask him out.

When I first met him I didn't think he was good looking in fact I thought he was the least attractive guy in the room.

However with time I grew to like him and realized he is attractive. Especially when he smiles. I also noticed this other girl she is younger than me slightly and all things notwithstanding just based off of this fact likely has a few more options than me.

It's no secret that guys prefer young women. But I've seen her respond to him and while I don't think it's clear whether she's crushing on him, I don't think it's all platonic on her end either.

So it makes me wonder if girls do like him.

And yes he does notice multiple women. I don't know if he just likes the attention or he's the type who would not be loyal to any one woman if he married them etc

Unless you have a crush on this guy or that he made you believe he was into you, I don't see anything in this post that would give me a hint or clue why he would remotely want to make you jealous.

Unless you are not telling us everything, I don't think his intentions are to make you jealous since I don't see how his entire behavior would lead you to believe that.

Perhaps that he realizes that you are looking at him too intensely and that you gave him the impression that you are into him and that he simply wants to test you.

I always think gut feelings are fairly accurate. If you find his behavior "weird" sounds like you'd best avoid him. Why would any grown man waste him time trying to invoke jealousy? Sounds childish.

More likely, in either situation, he was just being polite and offered the girl an empty seat.

I understand you are a woman and women tend to overthink things. This is probably what that is, if you suspect he's trying to make you jealous. If he really wanted to make you jealous, don't you think he'd do much more than ask a girl to sit down?

It means he’s immature and insecure. Because that’s being dramatic and playing games. He should be willing to stand on his own merit in the relationship and be willing to talk about whatever problems you have or walk away. But don’t play games with people’s hearts.
