Why does this guy follow other girls in class on social media but not me?

For context, both him and I are 3rd year college students and we're in the same Class. I've had positive encounters with him in the past and he has initiated a brief convo with me once, but we never really had a full on convo after that, it's always kinda awkward or breif when we do. Like he's abit stiff and short with me if you know what I mean. He would greet me with a smile and often just greet if we make eye contact not too long ago, but he does so that anymore. Yet I come to find he follows a lot of girls in my class including my bestfriend whose also in our class, and he's spoke to these girls before and has no problem speaking to them comfortably. He's known my bestfriend since first year, but I find it stenage how he's only following her now and she and I have only also gotten close since like last year. He's also always polite towards me but that's about it. He has a girlfriend.

It could be that he's very attracted to you but lacks confidence and is afraid of blowing it with you. Then grts nervous when around you and clams up. I've seen this kind of thing happen before with some of my old buddies from school.

Well it would be comforting to know he doesn't hate me, I mena were both he same age and I'm attracted to him but I'm sure he doesn't know, it's just why does it seem like he low key doesn't like me as person yet is very polite even used to smile when greeting me.

If he has a girlfriend why are you worried about it. I guess you can always just ask him IRL why he does not follow you. Are you attracted to him?
