Is it normal for a married man to travel solo and act this way?

Something about him doesn't add up.

He said he likes travelling - solo. He seems to get jealous when that other girl mentions a guy. He enrols in things by himself.

He makes jokes like "I can barely bring my wife to be in the same room as me let alone anyone else."

But... I saw a ring on his finger.

Is this guy truly married? Or is this an ex-marriage type of scenario.

Well let me share my experience. My wife was an asexual dud. But she was also a couch potato (after we got married). I like to ski, backpack, climb mountains, ride a bike, salt water fish, play in the waves, and swim in the ocean. She was having none of that, LOL. OK well, I'm not giving up everything I love to do to sit on the couch with you and watch mindless sitcoms until I die.

There was already a fair amount of resentment from her asexual nature. But I swear she was born an 80 year old in a child's body. No sense of adventure. No curiosity. Fear of everything. But she faked it pretty well during the dating phase pre marriage.

So at some point I just started going skiing alone, backpacking alone, and fucking other women. In my mind, if she wanted to behave like a roommate I was perfectly within my rights to treat her like a roommate. If she wasn't going to make an effort, why am I required to compromise everything? That was not happening. The only thing that kept me from divorcing her was our sons. Once they were grown and educated, I did divorce her.

So that's why one guy did stuff on his own.

Your wife might have experienced trauma a lot of people who experience trauma don't verbalize it.

Nope she didn't suffer any trauma. You can't use that standard excuse. She suffered from an old school Italian family and the Catholic Church. And she was the renegade of the family. Her sisters were worse. At age 30 she declared she was too old for long hair, heels, or dresses. Like I said earlier, she was born 80 years old from a personality perspective. No trauma. Just personality.

I can only think of two scenarios either he doesn't get along with her or he's seperated/divorced.

But then why wear the ring publicly.

he's miserable. married, but miserable. that's what. his wife is probably sick of his crap, he's likely a serial cheater. got married to the wrong woman. etc.

Hmm the thing is he doesn't really act like a serial cheater in terms of for that other girl I noticed he does seem to like her gets jealous when she mentions other guys etc. but on the last day he said: And we'll see each other around.

And that's it. He didn't go out of his way to pursue her.
