From a male perspective, is feeling overwhelmed different from just not interested?

I wanna know from a male perspective is there a difference when you feel overwhelmed with a girl vs not actually being interested in her?

I will assume this is of a romantic perspective... and if I am not interested on a girl, then I am just not going to engage with her in that manner, period... there will be no effort, no initiative just because I don't really have an interest, simple... now, I might respond to them and even engage with them BUT as friends, as colleagues, as acquaintances (we have people and common) and so many other things, but a romantic interest? no... if is not there, then I have no way to pretend any of that

"overwhelmed" I only felt like this once... and that was back in high-school, I was 16 years old... and I had zero experience with relationships/girlfriends, dating and all that... everything was new to me, even strong feelings like that... and on top of that, I was already overwhelmed by my own issues, and the fact that... my best friend in high-school was falling in love with me, and I with her... even if I didn't recognized it at first, or maybe I denied it to myself... lmao

and so it got a little messy... because I was going back and forth with her, to her... and also with these "dynamics" of maybe acting more or less like a friend, so that was the difference...

if no interest... then it's just flat line

Absolutely there is and this is where many people go wrong with reading the signs of attraction especially when everyone’s different and there’s conflicting information.

Someone who’s attracted may display signs of disinterest now if someone’s hiding feelings on purpose even after someone made a direct move. Just move on. But. Some people get nervous and want to hide their feelings to not embarrass themselves or make someone feel uncomfortable or make an awkward situation so they may suppress it.

Another issue is that people leak signs of nervous energy both when they are really into someone and when they’re really repulsed by someone. They may display soothing behaviors but it will be totally different.

Someone Whose interested will be engaged with you usually they will face you and engage the conversation. If someone only really talks to you when you talk to them and even then it’s brief and simple. Probably just being nice. If he’s overwhelmed again he will probably seem to be annoyed, probably face away, and not make much eye contact. That’s different than just being nervous because he likes her.

Very few women tick all of a guys boxes. So when he meets one who does he has to ask himself "WHY"? Typically it's not by accident. It wasn't preordained either, at least not by anyone other than her. In other words, typically she's manipulating him. Once this has happened to a guy, (sometimes it has to happen a few times) his spidey senses go on when a woman seems to good to be true. Because generally, she is.😆 A good woman wants to know a man, but a bad woman wants to know a man, so she knows how to control him. This is the only overwhelm that comes into play with a man. A man learns very early on after his heart is first truly and completely broken to never let any woman get ahold of his heart completely ever again. He can love he can love deeply. But you have to understand that there is a part of his heart that will NEVER be yours or any woman's ever again. If you want him, to be with him. You have to be ok with that and accept it. If you can't, it's best just to leave him alone.

I would say yes. Feeling overwhelmed w a girl could mean she’s just too much. Maybe she’s a brat, spoiled, maybe she cries way too much that no matter what you do it’s like something is always wrong. So you may like her but all that chaos in her is just pushing you away from her. Now if you’re not interested in the other hand you’re just not interested. You’re not even going to give her the chance. If a girl is cute a lot of men would be willing to put up w her.

It could be. It could just be annoying, but yes it could be overwhelming depending on what she’s constantly texting about.

There is an extremly big difference. If I'm overwhelmed by a girl, my behavior will be very sporadic and unpredictable. I will constantly overthink. If I have no interest, I act as if she is anyone else.
