Was my dress inappropriate around my friend’s husband or was it him?

So I visited a friend of mine and she had something to do in town and left. Her husband was supposed to drop me off to meet her somewhere.

When I told him I was ready to go. He looked at me up and down and asked me if I was ready 2 times. As if something was wrong. It made me self conscious.

Then in the car I tried to make small talk but crickets, he was silent, couldn’t look at me at all, didn’t talk.

I still don’t know what I did wrong, especially when the day before, he was fine and making normal conversations.

Tell me if I'm not understanding correctly. Her husband is having to drive you around like her or your Uber driver? Like he's got nothing he'd rather do? ... I mean, I would be more pissed about that if I were him. I'd rather sit at home and troll people on G@G. It reminds me of that time my woman stuck me with baby sitting these 2 little black kids because her workmate couldn't find herself a baby sitter and my girl didn't want to work extra shifts. 1 boy and 1 girl, plus my own kid. The girl was behaved, but that little boy... jesus, just put him in prison already. I never wanted to beat a kid so bad in my life. Naturally, that scenario pissed me off at my girl and those kid's mother at the same time. I was getting punished for shit I have jack shit to do with... other than being Mr. Slave Simppington.

If I'm wrong and it's the dress... there is only two reasons I'd be pissed about that dress...

1) Why are dressing all sexy and dragging my girl wih you? I absolutely hate it when some chick is actively seeking flings and she's dragging my girl around with her. I don't want my woman talking to the boys with you just because you need a wing-woman.

2) Not really a you problem, but more of a me problem. You're giving me a boner and I'd really like to... hmmm... but I'm trying to be faithful... so I'd just not look at you and not talk to you. I'm just going to drop you off and go jerk off in the bathroom.

Take any of those 2 reasons and mix it with being turned into a Uber driver that's not getting paid... totally makes sense to me.

I mean it's not fair, you two are taxing him just so you two can hangout and do whatever girls do. From how I see it, it probably has a lot more to do with her than with you. You'd be nothing more than the reason my wife is "tasking" me with these unwanted chores. You feel me on that?

Interesting. For context, I didn’t ask for a ride, my friend suggested that as it’s on his way to wherever he was going (a 10 mins drive). He could just drop me off quickly. Wich he did. It’s just that I didn’t understand his initial reaction to me and the shutdown, the silence and sharp replies that happened afterwards. When the day before he was totally fine. It made me question what did I do wrong. When I’m sure I didn’t do anything that deserves all this.

A task is a task... she tasked him. I don't know any person on this planet that is grateful and excited by being tasked with anything they'd rather not do. That's my best guess... I mean, if I were in his shoes, that's pretty much the only thing I can think of. My second best guesses is everything else I've already mentioned.

Nothing wrong with that dress at all. There appears to be something wrong with your friend's husband though. He tried flirting. He was hoping to score with you. He fell flat. He reacted like a child. The dress had little to do with it.

Ok thank you. Tbh, he didn’t flirt with me but it was more like he was judging me and then he completely shut down. Replied one word answer when I tried to make small talk and then talking sharp to me when my friend was around. The whole thing was so bizarre

With very little info to go on, I could be wrong. But... the guy sounds like he has a control problem and insecurity issues. It makes me wonder what your friend's life with him is like. The best way to deal with a man baby is to confront his bullshit. Set boundaries early and enforce them ruthlessly. No exceptions.

And if your dress was like the one in the photo, that's not conservative but it's totally within the bounds of fashionable casual for warm weather. I honestly wouldn't have much reaction to a woman wearing that in public. At most it would be... "Oh, nice sense of style, cool". And my attention would wander back to whatever I was doing.

First off it doesn't madder if you are even naked, that doesn't mean he's not responsible for his own behavior. Second that dress isn't even scandalous. Sure it's fairly short, but I'd not call it a mini dress or anything like that. I've worn dresses in public that if I bent over you could seem my butt XD. This seems far more tame to me.
