What does it mean when my boyfriend jokes about me cheating?

I cheated on him so many times he got mad and now months later he jokes about me cheating on him and when I’m with him he says cheater! Lol and smiles and laughs and says cheating girlfriend!! He says this quite a lot and and also said yesterday I had a girl over and joked around with me saying I had another girl over last night and called me a different girl name during sex and he smiled. What does it mean when he does this and is this a red flag?

I don’t think he’s joking, it sounds like he’s carrying resentment over what you did and understandably, you cheated multiple times. However, I feel like by him choosing to stay with you, that decision comes with a commitment to moving forward and not hanging on to the past.
You were wrong AF, there’s no denying that and he has a right to feel some sort of way about it. What he shouldn’t have the right to do though is straddle the fence between wanting to be with you, and not being able to let go of your indiscretions.


If I were you I’d put the “jokes” aside to have a serious, adult conversation with him about the current state of your relationship, the future of it, and whether or not there even is one. Like can the trust be re-established when there’s none? Can he stop bringing up the past and throwing it in your face in the form of jokes? Will he ever be able
