Why would my boyfriend always joke about me cheating on him?

Like it's his normal form of banter to accuse me of that... At first I found it funny and thought it was a one time thing & teased him back but he keeps doing it... why would he do that? Does it mean something?

I have two theories.
1) he's insecure
2) he's cheated on you, but hasn't told you- or never will. so he's trying to make it seem like "oh, well your the one who would cheat on me anyway, so why does it matter if I ( ur boyfriend) actually did?) if that makes sense.
unfortunately I think he could also be testing that phrase as sorta maybe even a way of a break up? now, i am not sure on that one but i would guess maybe like " yea we broke up, she joked about cheating on me- never did, but practically the same thing."
the third option is worse case scenario. talk to him and see what his intent behind it is.

It means your boyfriend is an insecure boob. Tell him that insecurity is a turn off for you and to stop being a pussy. He'll stop.
