What I learned when it comes to dating is to believe their actions before you believe their words. I’m sure you know by now (whether it is through your own experience or someone else’s) that some men can be disingenuous when it comes to pursuing women. Saying this or that to get what they want, whether it’s intimacy, attention, or even just some company because they’re feeling lonely. This is nothing new.


If I were you I’d start taking statements like ‘I won’t lead you on’ with a grain of salt. Make it important for that man to consistently prove he is actually serious rather than essentially just taking his word for it. That way when you start seeing the signs or him not living up to who he says he is, you’ll have an easier time dealing with the disappointment, assuming you’d even be disappointed at all.

Never let a man tell you he doesn't want you more than once. He leads you on because he can. Its as simple as he enjoys what you give him whether its just compliments, ego boosts, or sex they will always take whatever they can get from you regardless of if they like you as a person or not.
