If he never texts me at night, is that normal or a dating red flag?

This guy and I have been chatting for a bit. He has a fun personality and we kind of connected. However, I noticed he just never replies at night. Never a good night or checking on me. He will say he will go do something, but he literally just never checked up at night. I just never experienced this before where I don't hear from someone evening to night... it has happened probably over 4-5 times now within a weekish. Sometimes, it makes me wonder is he dating someone else he is more serious with or I'm actually not that important to him? Or he is just isn't serious when it comes to me because doesn't show he is thinking of me at evening to night?

I wouldn't text you good night either, even if I really valued you.
For one, my phone goes in sleep mode in the evening so I won't see messages anymore. Two, it's down time and I'm probably reading a book or playing guitar. Three I go to bed early.

Don't think too much of it, it's not a red flag.
Spend an evening with him and sleep there, would that be an option?

Well... Ask him what he's up to. If he avoids details or doesn't have any other good explanation... Yeah could be red flag. Also push to go on a proper date. Too many time wasters out there who only chat but don't want to actually meet up.
