My whole life I've heard the same thing... that fellows of value will hold out for the woman of value, who doesn't rush into bed with him and doesn't rush into relationship status. And while obviously I'm A LITTLE flirty, I've never just hopped from guy to guy like I see some women do (as if the guy is their oxygen tank and they're completely helpless without a fellow).
And I've heard fellows compliment or appreciate different aspects of who I am, however... for every one gal like me there are hundreds of... chippies/floozies/what have you.
So to me, looking at how the average guy functions, a guy will SAY he wants someone amazing but always go for the gal who is like his car and food choices... FAST. The rest just seems like... empty words.

You aren't looking for an average guy as you aren't an average woman.
Both genders are not showing off their sex's in a positive light by being average.
How does the average woman function?
I don't know. I presume day by day. I don't know every woman to be able to make that decision. From what I'm seeing, there are frumpy women, OVERLY conservative women, the crazies, the fast and furious, and then the gal like me who stays in her lane doing what she's been taught was right.
Where's the median in there?
Heh, Yes. :P
Dunno, that's not what I did.
The same could be said of women sometimes. I have heard multiple women tell me that they prefer an experienced man because they don't want to have to teach an inexperienced man.
Both sides of this are crappy.
Well... technically if I had to look for a guy NOW I certainly would not want to have to teach the guy how to do certain things. And I'm sure that even when I was the young slip of a gal who was just getting married to her first... I was grateful that he wasn't fumbling with his junk or mine on the wedding night, you know?
Having said that, if a guy's had so much experience that I'm ending up in a clinic because of him... that's not what anyone wants either.
A happy medium, you know? Perhaps just not the jaded woman-hating sort of guy.
Agreed!!
Not all guys re like that. I always looked for more than sex in a relationship/
You and about five guys on here seem to be the last of the Mohicans in that respect. Everything today seems to be part of an odd "disposable culture" including relationships.
@DishLady Maybe because I am old. I went with somebody for 4 years who was saving herself for marriage. Truthfully, I would not do it again
If you're old, I'm right behind you by just a few years. Perhaps values have changed, I don't know, but the fellows I'm talking about are from our generation as well. So... I don't know what sort of earworm has crawled into their brains, but good gals def finish last.
It's not just about saving oneself for marriage, but generally not being the gal who flings herself on every guy (or allows every guy to have her), you know?
They want a virgin, but they’re desperate for sex so they’ll take any female that offers it. And that’s how they think satellite dish Lady
Sad state of the union indeed...
Yes it is
