Why do some guys not care?

Because I’m a very nice caring person I never understand how some people can be so self centred.

and I take it upon myself that there must be something flawed in me for them to not care.

but now I wonder whether if a guy is like that all it means is he’s not a nice person not that I’m undesirable. What do you think

Why do some gals not care? Same reason. You think a lot of guys aren't (or at least think) they're good caring people? You think that stops the from getting 💩 on by women? No!

You're either 1. Not the nice person you think you are. Or 2. You are but you punch above your weight when it comes to men. You'll ALWAYS be undesirable to those men. I mean yeah they'll throw it at ya. But that's about it. Now if you want that type of a guy you're just going to have to accept you're not the first choice.

That is how most people are. Once you realize only a few people actually care about you, your expectations of people will normalize. Also, some people do care, but they are bad at showing it.

Men rarely take responsibility for anything they do or say. They will even flip the narrative to make themselves feel better... see the anon comment for a textbook example.

But see this is like the third time that I’ve seen this scenario play out.

All were guys who were just guys I liked I’m not sure they even realized I liked them.

And also they were all assholes

And they all liked other girls more than me

But like I’m also confused I don’t have stories of any guy going out of his way to woo me

Even though these guys were bad fits and not good people why don’t the normal guys seem to like me?

If they were assholes though, why did you like them?

The first one approached me when I was sitting by myself not the other way around. Then my jealous friend tried to woo him on the same day and he switched sides to (possibly pursue her). I only met both on that one day and I have zero clue if he dated her or not.

The second one I thought he liked me when I wouldn’t pay attention to him he’d act out like crazy. But his later behaviour doesn’t really seem to match a guy who liked me I thought he liked the other girl.

Third time - I actually did like the guy. However again he doesn’t seem to care about my feelings at all and again I think he’s more interested in another girl.

How can it be that all 3 times not only were the guys indifferent they liked other girls it’s so weird
