Why is it so hard for a guy to stay friends with a girl he likes more?

1. If you hadn't eaten in 10 days and were ravenously hungry, but you weren't allowed to eat, I'm sure you would find it much harder to deal with the situation if you had to be around people who were eating delicious, hot, fragrant food than it would if you were far away from food and people eating. That's because it's far more torturous to be around something you desperately want than if you stsy away from it.

2. Women don't realize this, but when they are "friends" with a guy, they tend to be needy and demand a lot of time, attention, labor, and often money from the guy and they rarely give much of anything back. Of course there are exceptions, but most of the time, this is how it goes. Most women want "boyfriend/husband benefits" from their male "friends" and most men have no interest in such a situation (being Friend-Zoned).

Women are never really “friends” with a man. Male friends pay all the boyfriend dues without receiving any boyfriend benefits.
It’s self preservation for a man to reject the friend zone, and it’s not really that difficult if he has any self respect. Unfortunately many single mothers raise their sons to be simpering fools for females who offer nothing. Their brainwashing has to be undone before they can save themselves from the friend zone traps.
