Do men get over long-term relationships quickly, or does it depend?

As in, dating for a long time? Or does it depend on some factors? If so, then what?

In a long distance relationship--which alone has its own problems, does a man forget a woman he kept in contact with for 3 years and also met during that time? Are men quick to forget women?

I'm going to update my question here. I should have reworded the question to say, "Do men get over long term relationships faster than women, or is it about the same? " Are they slower to refer from break ups, or are they faster?

I think if you loved and you have a heart, heartbreak takes a long time whether you're man or woman.

I don't think there are hard and fast rules, but from my observations men seem to get over long term relationships ending faster than women, but it does depend on circumstances.

It depends. We often see questions on GAG from men asking how to get over a rejection from a crush or the end of a relationship when they are still in love with the woman.

For starters 80% or more of divorce are instigated by women. The majority of women that leave a relationship are leaving for another man they are cheating with or have an eye on. If a man knows that a woman cheated with him on another man he will never trust her or get serious with her, unless she has money.
Women leaving a relationship often do so because they think they can do better but often find the opposite is true.

Depends on the man. Some men are strong enough to bounce back quickly. Some weak men wallow in misery for months, even years.
