Why do non‑Black men call certain Black skin tones “chocolate when it’s not chocolate”? Especially these skin tone in pictures shown?

I do not like the word chocolate because food is something you eat, not a standard you judge human beings by. I like the name Jasper skin or Charcoal Skin or Mocha skin to describe African skin tones. Mocha is a drink, but is more a scented liquid than an edible commodity, so it does not undermine black aesthetics by suggesting black beauty should be measured by the standard of culinary taste.

You're talking about PICTURES. When you know absolutely NOTHING about a woman you have a tendency to state the visually obvious. And he probably sees it as a compliment. "Chocolate is sweet and tasty, how could she not like that". Would you rather he call her doo doo brown?
