I think a protective guy is a guy who wants to look after you and make sure no harm is done to you and he has your best interests at heart. I think a jealous guy is a guy who feels threatened when certain circumstances come into play (such as you meeting some new guy friends, or you going out with a guy just as friends) and feels that the only way to keep you around is to be over-protective to make sure he knows and can see exactly what you are doing. The jealous guy has his best interests at heart and may end up suffocating the girl.
A jealous guy's feeling isn't about you per say, it's about his own insecurity. A jealous man's feeling is based on him losing or not having you. A protective man feeling is to guard and keep you safe, his the police when she's concerned there to retain or restore order in her life.
If he's really protective over you he'll put his arm around you in public, a sweet gesture, but also shows other guys that you're taken. If he's over the top he might screen your calls and try and control who you go out with, that is the extreme imo and should be avoided at all costs. If he's slightly jealous of you then he has an interest in you, if he is really jealous, again he can be really controlling and that isn't good thing in the long run.

A jealous guy keeps you inside and locks the door.
A protective guy locks the door too...but gives you his spare key.
I protective guy protects you or your interest. A jealous guy protects him or his interest.
While it would depend on the guy, I would say that it's definitely a sign that he has interest in you. The main difference between protective and jealous depends on the situation. If you are being hassled at the bar, that's protective. If he's mad that you talked to some other guy or that you have guy friends, that's jealous. Watch for signs of clinginess. If he gets upset at insignificant interactions that you have with other men, then he is clingy and jealous and probably doesn't trust you.
A protective guy is only jealous on the guys that hit on you pretending to be your friends. A jealous guy is jealous on everyone
I would say one gives valid reasons vs. The other gives invalid reasons such as because I said so
There is no difference. Protective is just a way to cover up for jealousy.
One stops you from getting shocked and one shoots other people (snare in the background).
A protective nigga will fight the other nigga, a jealous one will fight with you.
