Do high heels scream high maintenance?

I'm a girl who own an entire shoe store of high heels... not literally of course but 85% of the time you will see me in some form of heel 2-3 inches is my average.

Some of my guy friends have said my shoe preference screams high maintenance, they've assured me it's not true but whether high heels or flats guys act the same around me. No one runs for the hills. What do you guys think?

Thanks girls and guys (: I don't know what I was thinking but I have some dumbass friends, almost threw out my shoes in grief lol. My usual four day routine of heels is not ending. I was told guys think a girl who wears heels is more likely to be a high spender, bossy, a feminist etc but now that I think about it... maybe I was being played because a feminist would be wearing work boots lmao thanks!

I had a friend who wore those pointy toe heels all the time when they were in style and now that she is older she has foot problems.

But to answer your question I do like them. I like them on girls who don't usually wear that stuff. It's a nice treat to see a girl turn into an elegant swan on certain occasions. If a girl wears them all the time it just becomes routine, it loses it's extravagance. And no I don't really judge people's personality on the clothing items they wear but it does give a bit of insight on characteristics. Like I would assume you are a girlie girl.

There is a time/place for heels... I don't think wearing heels gives the impression of a woman being high maintenance, I just think a lot of high maintenance women wear heels, lol. But there's nothing wrong with dressing up and looking good on certain occasions...

Just... don't be high maintenance, lol. It's in your attitude/personality and how you carry yourself, not necessarily what you wear...

Every guy has a different preference. I wouldn't stop wearing heels just because SOME don't like it. There are a lot of men who like it, so just because some of your guy friends think its true doesn't mean it does. Some guys are intimidated by different things, I have never heard of a guy who was like "Omg she's wearing heels she must be high maintenance" like wtf ok

I wear heels exactly like you do I've found girls give me dirty looks for wearing heels whereas guys never seem to notice unless I am wearing particularly noisy heels.

Awwe I forgot to mention those girls... It's not that I wear heels all the time but I always get this look of scorn from girls but like you said guys don't notice most of the time. I was told by a few ble guyfriends that men always think she's a bitch once they see her in heels

I think it depends on how the girl acts. Often people that are high maintenance have that kind of shoe obsession as well. When it comes to my opinion on high heels, a girl is generally disqualified in my book if she is taller than me while wearing the high heels. How many shoes she owns is not as much of an issue as how she acts.

I agree that she shouldn't be taller than the man but I'm only 5'4 then add a 2-3 in heel and still a lot shorter than my boyfriend, and no I haven't asked him this question because it's slightly embarrassing

well I live somewhere that has a lot of hills and where people walk a lot so if you wear heels it might be a bit strange but I doubt Id judge you based on your shoe choice

Do you wear high heels all day everyday? That would be an indicator of high maintenance for me.

If you only wear them when you're going out that's a different story.
