I've always thought the best kind of relationship works only if the man and woman are best friends before they are romantic partners. This way, there's always that area of bonding/friendship that serves as a foundation for the romantic aspect of the relationship - but personally I don't really know if that's how it works.
But speaking from experience, girls likes guys who aren't too much of a "friend", because they'll begin to rely on the guy for friend problems, and sooner or later, the guy gets "friendzoned," which is what I think you're talking about when you say act like her "lover" and less like her "friend".

Woman want to feel wanted and sexy, but they also want to feel appreciated for who they are. So to get a woman interested I would say make her feel sexy and wanted but also throw in interested "friendly" questions about the girl. Try to play both roles at the same time.
i just a guy who doens't seem to go on his man period too often. someone who can be honest and not f*** with me or give me bullsh*t
Yes, if you want to attract a woman, be flirty, and treat her like a date.
Smile, compliment her, open doors for her, and make physical contact that you can maintain. Tell her you enjoy her company, and most importantly, be interested in her as a person.
