Does your boyfriend say smart ass comments and arrogant things? I love my boyfriend, and I know he loves me, but he can be such an a**hole sometimes. Most of the time he is being super defensive when he has no reason to be. Is this normal?

i don't think it is. a nice boyfriend would respect you. My boyfriend is the same way, but I think it comes from his "salesman" personality, but there is a fine line between respect and being "smart". A good boyfriend will respect your wishes kindly and apologize. A d*** boyfriend, like mine, would, yes, be defensive and say things because he feels "he can say whatever he wants." If you can put up with that, then do so, but you're cutting yourself short. I would rather be with a man who can respect me and respect is what helps a relationship last.

yeah, my boyfriend can be a total ass, but you just gotta pick your battles. He's not trying to be a jerk, it just ends up that guys act like that sometimes.
