Does he like me? And what does it mean to kinda like someone "a little?"

So I asked this question a little while ago, but I need more advice and opinions.

So I basically told my guy friend that I liked him and I ask if there was anything between us because he's hot and cold. Anyway, he texted back saying, "your cute I mean there could be. What you see?" And I told him I liked him and asked him how he felt and he said, "same here." So I asked him if he liked me, ya know, just to be sure. And he texted back saying, "kinda a little" Well I asked him what we were going to do about this and he asked when we were hanging out. But he stopped texting back after a while and we never made plans. Anyway, now a few weeks later we still haven't made plans but we hang out at work and he gives me hugs and stuff. He never texts me first though so I usually have to initiate it (which I don't do a lot.) But what do you think? Does he like me? And what does it mean to kinda like someone "a little?"

There are different levels of interest. I think he likes you, but not enough to do anything and actively pursue it.

Like for example if someone asked you: Would you go out with Tom? (hypothetical name) You could react like:

- Yeah! He's kinda cute!

- Or; YES! OHMYGOD *meltdown* I LIKE HIM SO MUCH.

You just gotta figue out whether or not you're okay with this smaller level of interest. If you are, then keep doing what you're doing. If you aren't then you should either: confront him about it, or get over him completely because honestly, is he worth your time when there is someone out there who'd treat you the way you want to be treated in an instant?

I guess. I mean he works a lot. But yeah, I have nooooo idea what so ever which is why I'm asking. Why would he tell me he liked me if he didn't?
