Does he like me as a "little sister" or something more?

He's 6 years older than me (he's 24, you do the math). We met about two months ago, and we've been talking ever since, especially in the Facebook chat (since we don't have many opportunities to meet up face to face). Once at a party not too long ago though, I was basically freezing to death because we were outside in the cold. He offered me his scarf and gloves, and I accepted. We talked and had lots of fun the entire evening. When I was about to go home, he let me keep the scarf and the gloves, and told me he'll come by my house to pick them up sometime later. He also gave me his phone number, and told me to call him when I get home so that he knows I got home safely. He ended it with a goodbye hug.

He's really nice and acts like a true gentleman, but I'm afraid that he treats me like this because he sees me as a little sister that he needs to protect (because of the age gap). How should I interpret his actions?
