This guy says he's really busy is he blowing me off?

So I've known this guy for forever but we just recently started talking again ( we just text we Haven't hung out).. I asked him to hang out and he said not tomorrow night but maybe the following night but he might have to work... so is he just not wanting to hang out?

I'v asked before and he's always had to work but if he really didn't want to hang out why would he bring up that he could maybe go out the following nght? to string me along?

Well you asked him to hang out, he said he's busy so from there you'd expect him to bring it back up when he's free since you reached out with the olive branch.

Then again if you asked him to hang out again and he blew you off and once again didn't mention a definite reschedule date then I'd say that's the end of that chapter.

i mean you can't judge based on that. what if he really is busy. one time I asked this girl out and the next day I broke my leg during a soccer game so dating was the last thing on my mind. I could tell she thought it was just an exuse to not go out with her and she was suspicious. see where it goes first

When you're really interested in someone - it doesn't matter how busy you are - you WILL find time for that person.

If he's constantly blowing you off it's a dead giveaway he's not that interested.

But one day is nothing much. If it takes a week and counting then you can cut your losses.

If it was an excuse then he wouldn't have mentioned that it would be possible later. While he might have been unsure whether he was free or not, he still seems like he was being sincere.
