Shy Girls, Is Waving A Sign Of Interest Or Awkwardness?

Three weeks ago I ran into this shy girl that I know. We Know each other from a friend and she's beautiful but incredibly shy. When we passed each other she was already looking at me. When I noticed her looking at me I started staring at her and then she waved at me.

P.s: I am a little shy myself so when I would run into her at prior occasions I would end up staring at her so I'm guessing she waved out of awkwardness,

i'm shy...so when I wave at a guy who's staring at me...i'm usually embarassed tuh have taken tht long to do something 'normal' back...

anyways, you were staring at her...and she had already been looking at you ? I would take it you might have 'freaked' her out..she probably thought you were going to say hi or wwave first..so when you just stared...forced her to hurriedly wave.

oh and on another note...for my personal shy girl experience...i'm very friendly when my shyness is not so powerful..so when I wave at people(guys included) I wave at everyone I 'know' or who while walking past looked at me..guys for some reason..knowing I don't talk much...mistake my waving and smiling at them for flirting. which I was not. they then flirt with me..who has little idea for a while how to correct thier mistake. so for guys reference..shy girls wave and smile at many people...but if we're more shy around you or way more open around u...then thtz a good sign they like u.

It's something shy people do to say hi. They are too shy to talk so they wave. It's both interest and awkwardness. If a shy person is looking at you and letting you see they are looking at you, that's already pretty forward to them, and she probably is at least somewhat interested in you.

She's saying hello so either she wants to be friends or finds you attractive. A sign she doesn't mind you!

If I see someone I am awkward around, don't like, or don't want to see I don't acknowledge them - look away, keep my eyes averted, no eye contact. I only engage the person if I want to be seen.

I think she thinks your cute and is interested... to what extent(who knows?) This is coming from a shy girl maybe she knows you like her and she is becoming more interested.. this is what I would do if I noticed a cute guy staring at me:-)

I would say its possible interest. I am shy and when I see a guy I like/know, I get all nervous and either blush, try to "be small" and wave, or blush, grin like a dork and wave...lol

It's quite possible she's into you, but it's hard to tell!

ya it is hard to tell cause my friend who has been friends with for 2 years and said she is still shy around him

If someone caught me staring at them, I would probably wave out of awkwardness regardless of if I liked them or not lol
