Why would a dumper want to get back with the dumpee?

Well I dumped my boyfriend, because he was quite bland and I was being really quite stupid. Then I realised he was acctually a really nice guy and what in hell was I doing being such a bitch? So I planned just to be friends with him again, but he still had feelings for me and my feelings returned. At first I thought he would never bother going out with me again, because I'd made him look ridiculous but he has such a good heart he didn't care, and took me back without a care in the world. I dumped him again later and it's been a long while since iv'e acctually seen him, and I really miss him. and I'd class that as one of the worst things I couldv'e ever done to a person, especially him. But it's taught me a lesson. and overall I don't regret going back out with him, because we had even better times than we did before, but youv'e just got to be careful, really.

They dump you for someone else, and when that falls through they come back.. it's a fact we all have to face, because it happens more often than anyone wants to admit. Personally, I wouldn't ever get back with someone I dumped, because I dumped them for a reason.. and if I dumped them because someone else came along, well even if the someone else falls through, that just goes to show that I believe there is someone better out there for me, and I might as well stay single until I find someone else.

Maybe they realized they made a mistake? Or they want to go back to the dumpee because they think they would be easy to get back with (kind of like a stand by thing). I wouldn't get back with someone who dumped me because they might just as easily leave me again as soon as something "better" comes along.

To be honest I don't know I rejected one girl and then we became best friends (dont ask me how that happend) and now I'm totaly enfatuated with her but she has told me that she cannot see me as anything more than a friend. I don't know I rejected her before but now I can't even see why I did and I love everything about her. So I don't know y it happens but it just does.
