What does it mean to have a soft spot for someone?
there's a supervisor at work who is really nice to me. Extra nice actually. He always smiles and says my name and acts really weird some days. Whever i speak, he says aww and i know all the supervisors and managers talk about how sweet i am and they always talk amongst eachother about anything i do that they think is adorable. They let me get away with lots of things, especially that one supervisor.
He always tells me how he can't get mad at me. And he makes other people do things for me, and always tells me, "i can't say no to you. Just do whatever you want". One day, i went to ask him something when he was talking to the other guys and he says, " oh ________, she has a special place in my heart"
A few days ago, i asked him something when he was talking to some other guys and he says, "see? You just can't get mad at her. Its impossible," and one of the guys says, "nah man. I think its just you." And he got close to him and said, "its because you have a soft spot for her," and he just smiled and laughed and said, "yes. Yes i do."
So what does that mean? He also acts a bit awkward if i get close to him and will not close the door if we are in a room alone together. He says its awkward. Not sure why but ok. Lately he's been extra quiet around me. Especially if he's helping me with something and im peeking over his shoulder. His voice gets soft when he talks to me but when i get close, it gets softer and quieter and starts to crack.
I've never seen that happen before to an adult guy. So what does this mean? What does he mean by a soft spot?
