Articles like these are so hypocritical... you talk about women nit picking at skinny women but your nit picking at bigger women, some bigger women also have hormonal or thyroid problems OR it's genetic... i'm big because of genetics, a lot of people on both sides of my family are big, so shut your pie hole, GAG need to have a rule against these sort of posts, GAG you are shameful for promoting such terrible articles.

Mostly what I figure is this: Fat acceptance is totally okay, so long as we are talking about treating overweight and obese people with respect.

But I don't have to find it attractive, or "true beauty" or "real woman" or whatever you want to label it. Anatomically modern humans have been around for 200,000 years. Overweight and obese has been the norm for 30 years tops, and only in certain developed nations.

Why you ask? Because SOME people are attracted to obese people, that's why. Some people can't help that they have an attraction to larger people. I'm not one of them myself but you can't get mad at someone for being physically attracted to a certain body type.

Also, there are many unhealthy thin people and many overweight people with no health problems. You sound ignorant. Perhaps, you should consult a DOCTOR. Of course being overweight (especially obese) puts you at risk for many health problems but this doesn't mean you'll automatically be unhealthy.

You can't get mad at "skinny-shaming" and "Fat-shame" yourself. You're a hypocrite. Are you going to shame people for preferring blondes to brunettes? For preferring whites to blacks? Better yet, do you shame people for their sexual orientation? It wouldn't surprise me if you do.

Let people have their preferences and quit forcing your opinions on other people.

@Vasco423 AND that is just as ignorant, I agree. I'm not attracted to SIGNIFICANTLY overweight women and if I was called a "douche" for saying I'm not attracted to a fat girl, I would be mad.

It seems like the teenagers on this post are more open-minded than the adults. Interesting...

I'll say that I agree with about 80% of your post. Women hiding behind the term curvy is wrong. Obese people costing tax payers $$ is wrong. And shaming skinny people is wring but, so is shaming obese people. We all live on the same planet and have to share it til that day that we cease to exist and thats just fact. I guess my point is we need to do less shaming, less complaining and a lot more helping one another... the end.

It's not in Canada. It's now considered a disease and fat people do often die a premature death.

Look wise it's disgusting if I were to consider them as a life partner, as a fellow human, don't care too much.

people who allow themselves to get to that level have negligent issues. Unless ur a dependent, then it's their parents fault.

Cultural Marxism coming out of our universities. Young people are being indoctrinated so you have these Bolsheviks flooding out of higher education. Of course college graduates go on to run the businesses etc so you get this cultural Marxist foolishness. This is why a lot of buisineses are failing and there are no good movies or TV shows anymore. Here's a good video on it. It's a really asinine ideology.

Well if people paid for their own medical care then grossly obese people wouldn't be costing taxpayers much at all.
I think the main reason people use terms like "curvy" is obvious, it's because they dont want to face up to the fact that they are unhealthy and less attractive.
I myself am guilty of saying crap like, "Girls don't wanna snuggle up to a rock," (in a joking manner of course.)
People say a lot of things to justify their self-made problems.

You can have a high fat content in your body and be labeled as obese just based off that yet be skinny. As long as someone is happy with the way they look who cares if they are big or slim?

I mean really? You are more worried about it going to someone fat than anything else?

What if they are happy weighting 150 pounds? Who are you to mess with their happiness? You can't tell people what to do. If you care about taxes and health so much, you should also try to ban smoking and drinking alcohol.
Also, being obese is not a 100% sure way to determine someone's health. Someone can be "overweight" according to BMI (Which has serious limitations and is no way a perfect measuring system) and still be perfectly fine.

150 lbs is not considered obese unless the person is under 5' I believe. While you are correct and the BMI has limitations including the fact that it does not take into account the difference between Muscle and Fat as weight, there are people who way hundreds of pounds (of mostly fat not muscle), and the more someone ways the more likely they are to have complications including: Diabetes, heart problems, high blood pressure, stroke, to name a few.

Its like drinking or even smoking. Is one cigarette going to kill you or cause you harm? Most likely not. Will a pack? Same answer. But as you increase intensity over time it becomes much more likely it will, for instance a pack a day for decades. Or a six pack a day for decades. The same is true for obesity.

Agreed, i'm a muscley women, muscley legs, arms, black and shoulders so i may look big but it's just the weight added onto the bulk of the muscle (and that's not an excsue i AM muscley), then there is the weight of your actual skeleton and organs :P but BMI doesn't count any of that, it takes your overall weight including your skeleton, organs and muscle and count that towards your fat weight... and it's any wonder even skinny people are called fat these days... hardly anyone uses BMI because it's such bad way to measure, people still use stone which is the most accurate. What i hate though is people judging people like me on my weight when it's genetic, they think it's that simple and automaticly assume i ate all the pies... but i don't... when i get up i ether eat a banana or apple or nothing at all, then i have my main meal which is bigger, then because my body is slow to digest i don't eat again for another 6 hours, yet i'm still big, so honestly people need to re-assess themselves

Do you think they're truly happy knowing what damages they're doing to their body and what kindve love life and self esteem issues they may have from rejection? You say happy but I say ignorance is bliss. The saying health is wealth doesn't seem to apply to these people. Obesity is a sickness people can choose.

To me being weak minded is being close minded about how others live their life when it doesn't impact your life. It's also weak minded to target people who have a problem and who struggle with something daily and even more weak and small minded to assume that because they struggle with their weight that they are any of those things that you listed.

And you know what's more "pathetic" then having an eating disorder or food addiction? it's people who generalize, judge, pick others apart and who have no compassion for someone who is struggling with something. Those people can lose 50lbs but people like the Take Owner and yourself need an entire new personality which is far worse then a few extra fucking lbs of fat on someone.

While I agree that FAT or "curvy" as some females describe themselves is 100% no attractive AT ALL. I'll stand by their side that some of those people are working hard to get a better body and a health issu isholding bakc their progress I dont think its fine to sham on anyone. I'm skinny, buuf guys sham me, They are buff and some skinny guys shame them (shrunk balls, insecure blah blah) We need to realize everyone has their body issues and not all of us can sport a sexy body even with exersice and propper diet I tried for t3 years only to fail over an ovcer to bulk up lol

I think we need to get to the root cause of the problem. It is not just about laziness (although it is definitely a factor). One of the main problems is that healthy food is not as affordable as unhealthy food and that needs to change. More emphasis should be placed on preventative methods to stop people getting fat in the first place.

Is size important? I think the overall issue is health... I mean being underweight is as un healthy as overweight- what needs to be emphasized is a lifestyle that empowers us all as woman to look past size and actually just think of health that will enable our longevity.

Such people piss me off so much, really.
Instead of just accepting that it's their fault that they are what they are, they just try to shame others instead of doing something for themselves. I have seen really fat people losing a lot of weight, because they worked hard for it, but most fatasses just think "oh, it's okay I am just big-boned/curvy/whatever".

But yes, I agree that being overweight is unhealthy, just as being underweight is. Here's the difference that many people don't understand: Anorexia is abuse of the body. Binge eating and letting yourself become overweight or obese is neglect of the body. They're two sins that result in the deterioration of one's health.

being thick is different than fat. Thick means you are carrying a few extra pounds... being fat as in obese means that a mobility scooter is in your future. And then despite being grossly overweight, they now try to advocate their discomfort.
